Personal Preface
It seems quite serendipitous that it has been approximately one year to the day since my last review on this account as the friends in “Always, Lola” have an annual gathering.

An even more personal aspect is that Roxy Striar is Lola in this film. Striar’s online presence through her YouTube channel and The Whirl Girls has inspired many such as myself to keep our Artistic and creative dreams alive.

Striar truly is Lola in her quest to help others.

Messaging
As Lola (Roxy Striar) and Lee (Andrew Ghai) look up to the night sky, he explains the process of a giant star becoming a supernova. Lola is intrigued by the notion stating, “Short and sweet isn’t bad. I’d rather go out with a bang.”

The conversation parallels Lola’s life in which she is a greater force than everyone else, burning up all her energy. When she turns supernova and takes her own life, each person is impacted by this massive change in their universe.

The group has an annual tradition on Lola’s birthday. They camp and search for presents that Lola has hidden for them. This game not only shows Lola’s love…
